"Body of Proof" could live to see another day on a new network. According to Deadline, ABC Studios is fighting to keep the Dana Delany medical examiner procedural alive after the network ABC canceled it.

Deadline reports USA, TNT and WGA America are possible new homes for the series, which also starred Jeri Ryan and Mark Valley. However, a source close to the situation said USA is not looking at the series.

“We had a very strong season in terms of [new series] development,” Paul Lee, president of ABC Entertainment Group, said during a conference call with reporters on Tuesday. “I would love to see 'Body of Proof' find a good home for itself.”

"Body of Proof" ran for three seasons on ABC. While it was never an outright hit, the series had strong ratings. A recent episode had 8.24 million viewers and a 1.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic.

So where did it all start? Body of Proof premiered back in 2011 on March 29th to a huge 14 million viewers (3.1 rating), it's biggest recorded audience over all 3 seasons. Each episode in season 1 averaged around 11.5 million viewers and a 2.3 rating. The season 1 finale was watched by 10.33 million viewers and a scored a 2.1 rating. Fun Fact: The show was actually suppose to premiere fall 2010, but was pushed back to March so only 9 episodes were aired for season 1, but half of season 2 was filmed a year before for season 1. x This was my favourite quote from season 1 "Don't believe everything you've heard about me. The truth is much worse".

3 amazing seasons, 42 awesome episodes and an incredible cast. Body of Proof is a show we will never forgot and will keep watching all year round. Thank you proofers all around the world for the sensational support over the last 3 years.

“Body of Proof’s” Dana Delany has been cast as the lead role in Amazon Studios’ latest project pilot “Hand of God.”

Delany will play Crystal Harris, the protective wife of Judge Pernell—played by “Sons of Anarchy’s” Ron Perlman.

“Hand of God” centers on Pernell, who has a high-end call girl on the side, experiences a religious awakening when he suspects that God is speaking to him through his ventilator-bound son.

“World War Z’s” Marc Foster will direct from a script by Ben Watkins. Both will executive produce, along with Perlman and Brian Wilkins.

Production is set to begin in April.

As the networks get ready to announce their renewals and cancelations, they will also be getting ready to unfold their 2014-2015 show pick-ups and here are 5 pilots we hope get picked up for next season.

1. Galavant (ABC)
This fairy tale musical comedy has got us really excited and it's from the creator of The Neighbors. The show will be filmed in the UK and follows a handsome Prince Galavant, who seeks revenge on the evil King Richard, who stole the beautiful Madalena. According to Deadline, the show is looking good for a pick up.

2. How to Get Away With Murder (ABC)
The sexy, suspense-driven legal thriller centers on ambitious law students and their brilliant and mysterious criminal defense professor, Annalise Dewitt, who becomes entangled in a murder plot that could rock their entire university and change the course of their lives. The show comes from Shonda (Creator of Scandal & Greys Anatomy).

3. One Big Happy (NBC)
One Big Happy revolves around two platonic friends since childhood — a lesbian, Lizzy, and her straight male best friend, Luke who have been living together and trying to have a baby via artificial insemination for some time. They finally get pregnant, just as Luke meets and impulsively marries the love of his life, pretty young British woman Prudence. Kind of a sexy Mary Poppins, Prudence is a free spirit with a refreshingly skewed perspective that Luke finds wholly enchanting. About to be deported, Prudence marries Luke in a whirlwind and soon becomes a part of an unusual family unit.

4. How I Met Your Father (CBS)
With How I Met Your Mother being such a success for the network, we can't wait to see how the official spinoff looks. Follows Sally on the journey of how she met her husband. She lives in New York with her friends, is getting divorced from her first husband, and has no idea what she is doing with her life. The show is almost a certain pick-up.

5. iZombie (CW)
This supernatural crime procedural centres a med student-turned-zombie who takes a job in the coroner’s office to gain access to the brains she must reluctantly eat to maintain her humanity. But with each brain she consumes, she inherits the corpse’s memories, and with the help of her medical examiner boss and a police detective, she solves homicide cases in order to quiet the disturbing voices in her head. There has been a lot of buzz surrounding this show with a pick up looking pretty good.
